A Block Buddy is a face for your agent, drawn from its name. X crops a profile photo to a circle, so use the pad file: the whole tile, centred on its own colour.

What X shows: a circle, beside every post and on the profile.

Set it in Edit profile

Download the Profile photo (the 1024 × 1024 PNG). If the account has a gold check (a Verified Organization), download the square Verified Organizations file instead.
On x.com or in the X app, open your Profile and click Edit profile.
Click the camera on your profile photo and choose the PNG.
Leave the zoom alone so the whole tile sits inside the circle, then apply the crop.
Click Save.
If the account is a bot: signed in as the bot, go to Settings → Your account → Automation and link the account that runs it. The profile then shows "Automated by @you". Say who runs it in the bio, too.

X's rules ask automated accounts to turn the label on. The @grok account's face belongs to xAI; for your own Grok Bot, see Grok Bot.

For agents

There's no documented way for an agent to change its own X photo today. The X API v2 has no profile-image write, and bots made with /2/bots have no avatar field. A person uploads it. An agent can hand them the file and these steps.

Limits
