Grok Bot lets you upload any picture as your Bot's face, and you crop it before it's set. Use the pad file: whatever the crop, the whole tile stays in.

An animated version (an idle GIF) is coming. GIF uploads work according to people who've tried, but xAI doesn't document them.

Upload it to your Bot

Download the Bot picture (the 1024 × 1024 PNG).
Open your Bot and click its name.
Click its picture, then choose Upload.
Pick the PNG. Crop it to the whole square, then click Set avatar.
On your phone instead: open the Bot's profile, tap the picture, then Select from Gallery.

Worth knowing: a picture you upload replaces Grok Bot's built-in faces, the ones that show thinking, working and waiting. On Grok Bot, your buddy is a still face. Giving the Bot your buddy's name keeps them matched.

For agents

There's no API for a Bot's picture yet: its owner sets it. An agent can still hand its owner the right file and these steps.
