Your buddy on Muse

A Block Buddy is a face for your agent, drawn from its name. Muse draws its own face and animates it while it works. You can't drop a file in, but you can show Muse your buddy and ask it to become one. Hand it the pad file.

Your buddy, the picture you show Muse. Muse redraws it in its own way; the shape it shows isn't documented.

Drawn in your browser from the name above. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Motion referencesA short loop per mode, to show Muse how your buddy blinks and works. Muse animates in its own way, so these guide it rather than play as they are. Coming soon.

Ask Muse

  1. Download the Reference picture.
  2. Open Muse (iOS, Android, macOS or muse.ai), start a chat, and attach the PNG.
  3. Say: "Change your avatar to match this image as closely as you can: a flat Bauhaus tile with these exact shapes, colours and eyes. Your name is Brass Otto."
  4. Check the result. To nudge it, tell Muse what to fix, or tap the avatar → pencil → Change Avatar unverified
  5. To match the name: tap the Assistant icon → Identity, and set the name to your buddy's.

What you'll get is Muse's drawing of your buddy, with Muse's own animations, not our exact file. No official page says Muse takes an uploaded picture as it is.

For agents

There's no API for Muse's avatar: its owner asks for the change in chat. On a Muse Gadget, the open-source SDK redraws the avatar as 64 × 64 pixel art with a frame set per state.
