Your buddy in DorkOS

A Block Buddy is a face for your agent, drawn from its name. Today DorkOS gives each agent an emoji on a colour, and it has no image field for agents. What you can do now: give the agent your buddy's colour, and wear the buddy yourself.

Coming: DorkOS drawing each agent's buddy itself, in its own rounded square. Not shipped yet.

The agent's colour

That's your buddy's ground colour. Nothing to download for the agent itself: when DorkOS draws buddies, it draws them live, so they move with the work on their own.

What you can do today

Click any agent's face (in the sidebar, the chat header or a room) to open its profile. The square at the top is its face today: an emoji on a colour, picked from the agent's id.
Tap the face, pick a colour, and enter #69798c, your buddy's colour. It saves as you go.
For your own face: click your name → Profile → Photo → Upload a photo, and choose Your own photo.
Your agents post to Slack or Telegram as one bot, with one face for all of them. Set that bot's face on the Slack or Telegram page.

When DorkOS draws buddies, an agent's buddy will come from a name DorkOS gives it once and shows on its profile, not from the agent's display name. So typing the display name here may give a different buddy. This page will say how to match them when it ships.

For agents

An agent can set its own colour with the DorkOS update_agent tool. Its icon must be a single emoji: DorkOS refuses an image or a URL there.

Limits

Format	Agents: a colour and one emoji, no image. People: PNG, JPEG or WebP.

Crop	Agents: a rounded square. People: a circle.
Animation	Not today
Who can set it	You, in the agent's profile. Or the agent, with `update_agent` (colour and emoji only).
Per-mode faces	Not yet. A status dot shows idle, working, needs you and error.
